1. You should be sure that your website has a consistent quality and theme. Do not lose your click-through visitor by directing them to your home page, instead you should have dedicated click-through landing pages from your advertisements that are 100% related to the search term and your product.

2. Remember that you only have seven to ten seconds to capture the attention of a website visitor when they land on your page. Use clear content and design the page with a strong call to action message above the fold (top part of the site).

3. For landing pages, you’ll want to get rid of unnecessary material on the page and remove navigation as well, you need them to be guided to the call to action and not go off on a navigational browse through the site.

4. Nearly 35% of visitors will go for a second offer on a ‘thank you’ page after an inquiry or purchase has been made. Be sure to include a bonus promotion or something to set the relationship on firm ground on your ‘thank you’ page.

5. Setting up links for Digg, Facebook, Reddit and Delicious are also a great idea. This will help promote linking.

6. If you are not already doing it, get blogging ASAP! Popular blogs are incredible marketing tools, so be sure that your blogs are interesting to keep the readers coming back for more. Ping new articles and link them out to other networks.

7. Last but not least, be sure to include your web URL on your business cards and letterhead. Mention the products on the back of your card, include links to your blog or social media sites, and most importantly – give all the same information within your email signature – this is a surprisingly overlooked branding technique.
