Google PageRank
Google PageRank is a method made by Google to rank your website pages for the Google search engine. Many browsers now have a toolbar or add-on option for a tool bar to see what a site is ranked. PageRank is a major piece of Google’s algorithm and it’s an important aspect to consider for your website. Getting a decent rank normally means a PR3 or PR4 or PR5, if you have a PR6 or PR7 rank is considered extremely good.
If you’re site is a PR 0, 1 or 2 you should read up more on page ranking or seek SEO expert advice on how to improve your sites ranking in Google.
Google PageRank uses the Internet’s link structure as an indication of each web page’s relevancy value. A link from page A to page B is interpreted as a vote, by page A, for page B. In Google PageRank the page that casts the vote is also analyzed. “Votes†made by competent web sites weigh more heavily and give an opportunity to linked site to be considered as a qualitative one.
Remember – sites with higher Google PageRank get a higher ranking in Google results.
