Allinanchor Ranking
Google has a ranking system called “Allinanchor Ranking” in which they rank a web page according to how many other websites have a keyword phrase linked back to your website. The actual text words within a linkback are called ‘anchor text’. When Google uses it’s Allinanchor Ranking system it can determine which site has the most backlinks with a certain keyword phrase.
In SEO this is an important measurement because of relevancy of these keywords and the amount of link backs can help determine your positioning.
