Check For Broken Links
Before you publish your website live, check for broken links on all the site pages. It’s seems like a common sense thing to do, but you’d be suprised how many site owners don’t do this. A broken link can frustrate your site visitors and also hinder search engine crawlers from finding and indexing other pages within your site.
It’s also a good idea to check periodically for broken links if you add more and more pages to your site in the future. It’s also a good idea to add a sitemap for larger sites so that you can keep an orderly list of your site pages.
If you have 100’s of pages, you might save time using a free web tool online that can run a check on the pages for you and provide you with a report.
