Building up brand presence on a single media platform, say television, has been done for years. Same with radio, outdoor signs, and online media. The ROI on single platform exposures have traditionally been easier to measure. But brand exposure today is now a mix of several platforms.

Cross-Channel Advertising‘ strategies may include: email, web, mobile, outdoor, TV, radio, and social media.

A recent internet survey showed that almost 70% of SEO experts claimed to run some sort of cross channel campaign, and just over 10% were said to be making trying to figure out how to combine and understand the data coming in from those campaigns in terms of ROI.
