Website Design is an important aspect for SEO. If you have a web designer that doesn’t understand the concepts of SEO you may suffer consequences later on or need to do a possible re-design or your website.

How can I tell if my site was designed to be SEO friendly?

Here are some easy ways to see if your website was designed by a web designer that has knowledge of SEO:

Does your homepage link to other pages within your site? It should.
Does your Site Have Meta Tags in the code? In IE browser, click ‘View’ & ‘Source’ to see (look at top of code)
Does your page load fast, what size is your homepage (i.e. 20k) compared to your competitors homepage
Does your page have good text vs. code ratio? Use this tool to see, is it higher than your competitors homepage? It should be.
