Google PPA (Pay-Per-Action) Program
PPA is a new pricing model used by Google. Here, the advertiser pays only when the user completes some predefined specific actions on their site. These actions may be purchasing an item or signing up for the newsletter. The advertiser does not pay for impressions or clicks but for actions (signups, inquiries, purhases, votes etc)
There are however, some eligibility criteria for PPA ads to appear on the publisher sites in the content network of Google. Criteria includes:
Publishers and not advertisers will choose the ads that they think will be appealing to the users of their sites. The chosen ads will then be published in ad units selected by the publishers.
All the ads get contextually-targeted to the websites of the publishers. These ads get automatically displayed in AdSense for content ad units. These ads need to compete in auction with the other ads which are eligible to appear on these ad units.
The cost of PPA advertising is determined by the publisher and he or she is independent to set a daily budget.
