Guaranteed Placement on Organic Search?
While some SEO firms will advertise a “guarantee†to have you listed in the top ten rankings. No one other than the search engines themselves can decide any ranking/postioning within the natural (organic) search results. The Search Engine’s decide on natural search engine results using complex Algorithms that check many on page and off page stats to come up with it’s results. An SEO company shouldn’t guarantee any particular placement on a natural search but they can guarantee improvement. (example, your sites on page 100 of results, seo company says they can improvement your position to rank in the top 5 pages).
Of course your success in ranking also depends on other factors such as your willingness to improve on the site as suggested from you SEO, your keyword competition, how much you invest into a part time or full time SEO campaign.
The best way to choose your SEO company is to ask them for previous SEO client rankings so that you can see the success they bring. Remember, an SEO company can enhance and improve your natural search engine positions, that is what you should use them for. The better your position in the search engines the more potential you have to get more traffic to your site.
