How to be Web Bot Friendly
There are several actions that webmasters can take to help make their websites more bot friendly. Some of the best practices a webmaster can use include the following, in no particular order:
- Make sure all hyperlinks links work and go where they are supposed to.
- Make sure content is easy to read, clear, relevant and keyword rich with properly placed keywords.
- Make sure websites have Site Maps.
- Make sure websites have bold, keyword rich headers on each of your web pages.
- Make sure the website has a robots.txt file and make sure it is configured correctly.
- Make sure META tags are setup correctly.
