Hypens or Underscores?
Creating good page file names for your website can help a little with your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on some engines.
For instance, did you know that using hyphens in the URLs file name instead of underscores is better?
Why? Because Hyphens are treated as a “space,” while underscores are not. For example, to a search engine your file www.domain.com/shoe-repair.html will be read by the engine as ’shoe repair’ and www.domain.com/shoe_repair.html will be read by the engine as ’shoe_repair’.
Be careful not to use more than a couple of hyphens in a file name though, if you use too many the file name can look a unprofessional and spammy which make make searchers hestitate to click on it.
