IE8 to Make Up for IE7 Shortcomings
Microsoft recently released Internet Explorer 8. This version of one of the world’s most popular internet browsers has been said to overcome many of the issues users and programmers experienced since the October 2006 release of Internet Explorer 7.
The most common issues that occurred with IE7 was the fact that many older websites did not display or function correctly resulting in countless hours of website redesigns by webmasters hoping to prevent the potential loss of site visitors.
The inability of consumers to access older websites after they updated their browsers to IE7 could easily translate into potential revenue losses for companies with websites that were not designed to work with the new browser.
IE8 is expected to adhere to common website standards and be backwards compatible for older websites.
