Websites are one of the most important aspects of a company’s marketing campaign. As such, they are often major investments to help increase profits for their respective businesses.

In fact, websites get the most resources, both in money and labor than any other medium. ROI is the amount of value received relative to the amount of money invested on the resource, which in this case is the website. ROI is an excellent measure of the success of a website campaign.

There are marketers who actually analyze their website’s metrics through the various analytical tools. Unfortunately translating this data into an actual ROI is rarely done. Awareness ROI is a method by which you can determine your return based on the number of visitors and the development and maintenance costs of you website.

Another metric is Lead Generation which translates to a “cost per lead”. It determines your return based on the number of downloads, inquiries and demo viewings generated and the total cost to develop and maintain your site. To determine the ROI, a good understanding of website cost and the above mentioned key metrics is essential.
