It is important in SEO to check you onpage kKeyword density, some say it’s one of the top 10 most important things to do. Keyword density checking is basically to check the percentage of times your keyword phrase appears on your webpage. Start with your homepage first.
Although there is no exact percentage rule to stick by, try to aim for a percentage similar to your competitors that have excellent Google rankings. Check against at least 3 competitors to get an idea of what your percentage should be. Don’t forget having too high of a percentage can make you look like a keyword spammer to the search engines, so don’t over do it.
