Many consumers perform online research prior to selecting a service or purchasing a product. during their searches they often end up on landing pages with the specific information they’ve searched for. The landing pages are designed to obtain information from the consumer prior to providing information or a quote for services. These types of pages are primarily focused on Lead Generation.
If you don’t have any Lead Generation strategies in place for the services you offer, you might want to consult with an online marketing service to help you get set up. If you’re already web savvy and want to create your own lead page, here’s a couple of tips for you when you set up your landing pages:
Tip 1. Remember each visitor expects that you will understand what they need and that you will point them in the direction to the answer they are seeking. Every click you receive represents an unspoken question that they hope to have answered by filling out the form. Make sure your lead generation pages are specific to each of those questions, don’t just have 1 generic lead page in your PPC campaign, create different ones based on different keyword searches. The more defined your pages are the higher rate of lead capture you can obtain.
Tip 2. For the form on the page, be sure to ask for as little information as possible. No one likes filling out forms and you may very well see customers clicking away when you ask them to fill out a long form. Remember that the visitors to your site expect to get something of value from you in exchange for their information. You should offer them something free in return for the information that they provided you (a free consultation, a free informational brochure etc). While you want to keep your form short and simple, be sure to add required fields for critical data like name and email and for spam protection add a CAPTCHA (human verification string of characters) at the end of the form above the ’submit’ button.
Take time to be sure your site is very user friendly, has lead tools in place and that your content is fresh and up-to-date.
