Rumors have been spreading as far back as 2006 about the possibility of Microsoft and Yahoo joining forces to quell the rapid-fire explosion of Google’s dominance of the web market. It seems that there is finally some merit to these rumors. Microsoft had reportedly made a record-breaking bid of $44.6 billion to acquire Yahoo.
Yahoo has historically fought hard to maintain it’s independence in the internet market but with the fast spread of Google and the power and influence it’s affiliates, partners and subsidiaries, it is no wonder Google is dominating the landscape of the internet.
