When it comes to PPC, bidding broad can have it’s downfalls.
It’s very important to not be too relaxed with your keywords when you set up your PPC campaigns. Every PPC campaigner has industry relevant winning keywords that bring in decent traffic, but because certain keywords have many variations of searches you have to be careful you’re not wasting your dollars on clicks that are not relavant.
The more you focus on the niche keywords or phrase specific keywords, the less you’re probably going to pay per click. Also, aiming for niche keywords may help you rank higher up as your ads will be closer matched. Look at keyword variations or phrases to target.
A good example is a interior design firm, if you use the keyword ‘design’ as a broad keyword you could be loosing clicks to people searching for web design, software design, lamdscape design… you get the idea. You should target more specific to phrases like ‘interior design’, ‘interior designer’, ‘home design’, ‘home design consultant’, etc.
