What is Google PR? (Page Rank)
Google’s Page Rank is the manner in which WebPages are listed in Google directories. Google ranks web pages based on relevance or importance. To do this Google uses different methods such as looking at links from one website to the next. These are all based on algorithms.
Only some of these links will count as a “vote” for the webpage where the link is going to. The relevance and the quality of the websites that has an incoming link is also taken into consideration, this is why some links are counted in terms of accessing the PR and some are not.
Web pages are given a ranking that is fluid in nature, this means it may change based on the changes in the webpage itself and other Web pages linking to it. The page rank is calculated using a logarithmic scale, when a web page has a page rank of PR4 or PR5, there is a difference between the two that is about five times that of difference between PR 3 and PR4. Therefore a webpage with a PR6 is deemed to be in the top 0.1% of every website on the Internet.
