AHLA & dBase Media Present “COVID-19: Health Law Disruption”

The impact of COVID-19 has had devastating outcomes and disrupted the lives of many people and industries. This disruption has also impacted health law and regulation requiring immediate communication on the ever changing legal opinions. The American Health Law Association (AHLA), in partnership with dBase Media, have launched a Public Service Announcement video series to heighten awareness to the legal disruption caused by the coronavirus.

COVID-19: Health Law Disruption features narratives from AHLA authorities and influencers from across the health law sector discussing the rapid changes in health law as a result of the pandemic. The program will draw attention to the legal disruption with interviews from health law experts representing academia, health and private practices and other industry sectors. The series will feature a collection of stories from scholars and influencers who are shaping the future of the legal health care community. Some of the early participants include authorities from UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium of Law, Science and Health Policy; DePaul University College of Law, Jaharis Health Law Institute; and some of the nation’s largest Health Law legal firms.

Together, they will dive deep into topics dealing with legal and regulatory issues affecting health care organizations. Such topics will examine the impact of new vaccine development hurdles; proposed changes on existing and new waivers; how providers are facing challenges with limited resources, supplies, staffing and capacity issues and how memory care facilities minimize risk, patient and staff issues.

COVID-19: Health Law Disruption highlights AHLA’s central role for disseminating information across a broad spectrum of new laws and regulations which impact the health care community. This PSA mini-series will be streamed on the Coronavirus Hub on AHLA’s website and social channels. It will also be distributed and promoted through an omni-channel distribution network, social networks and numerous partnership channels managed by dBase Media.
